The T-Jet series is an enthusiastic group of racers in Upstate NY. If you are in the area, please consider attending one of our races! If you would like to try out HO scale slot car racing, we can supply cars and a controller to use for the race. A $15 fee covers the entire race season or pay $5 to attend once. Each race day starts at 10:00 AM.Doors will open at 8AM for practice unless stated otherwise.
This year, our team event will utilize DASH chassis in Superstock form with slip-on silicone tires and American muscle-car bodies prepared by the ZoominHuman . Voltage will be adjusted to accommodate the technical level of each track. All drivers will draw from a hat to select the car they will use for the team event that day, then we'll draw names for the 2-man teams, same as last year. This year, you will no longer have to provide your own car - just show up and have some fun! With all the close races we had last year, the benefits of changing to this format are clear.
For the IROC race, the track owner (or maybe Dave Failing, if we're lucky) will provide 4 cars of their choice. Once again, just hook up a controller and have fun! Most races last year were decided by mere sections at each track, making for lots of close racing.

There will be a superstock race for those who enjoy racing their own cars. Racers will run each lane for 2 or 3 minutes in this individual event, depending on time constraints. This year, 3 of the superstock races will be run using slip-on silicone tires and 3 races will require coated sponge tires. The slip-on silicone races will be run at 18 volts instead of the usual 20 volts. Rear wheels must be made of nylon, delrin, or plastic (no brass or aluminum) and no wheel weights of any kind are allowed. Rear tires must be Supertires firm/black silicone tires ONLY. Any questions about this, phone Paul.
Finally, with the crazy weather around here, your best five finishes from the 6-race series will be used for the points title. This will make up for missing a race or let you drop your worst finish. You are not required to participate in all 3 classes as point standings will be tallied separately for each class. Rules usedfor the Upstate New York T-Jet Series are identical to those used by ECHORR for their Superstock Class with this exception: the Dash 2-lam armatures are legal. The rules are posted on the ECHORR site here: http://www.echorr.com/ss
Looking forward to seeing and racing with all of you this season. Bring a friend and let's have some fun!
